Happy Easter

Grandpa Harschel got to meet Anna this weekend! He and Miss Colene had a nice Easter basket for her with bunnies and duckies. It was very cute!

She also got to meet Mamaw (her great-grandmother) this weekend, too. Jacob and Samantha escorted her to the farm and showed her the ropes for her first visit.

We also visited Pat & Lisa, Aunt Sue, and Renee'. Roxana came by for a visit on Friday. On Sunday, we went to church with Mimi and Grandaddy, so everyone there got to see her, too.

It was a very nice weekend and enjoyed getting to see everyone. Anna slept the whole way to Paducah and back! What a good little traveler.

Tummy Time is FUN

Here's Anna getting some tummy time. She does seem to enjoy it. Willie and I try to put her on the boppy at least once a day. She has also decided she likes her swing, too. Falls right to sleep! She and I have lots of fun together during the days. Daddy has his turn after work, as he and Anna play together at night. She is really a joy.

Three's Good

We had some company this weekend--cousins Jacob and Samantha came for a quick visit. Jacob was very excited to see Baby Anna! He's been waiting almost as long as I did for her to get here. Samantha wasn't sure about that baby everyone kept looking at and her Mommy kept holding. Mimi and Grandaddy had all three grandkids in one place at one time.

Anna and I will be on our own tomorrow. Hopefully, Daddy won't have to come rescue me during the day. I'm sure we'll be OK.

We will be going to Paducah on Friday to see Grandpa Harchel and Miss Colene. They will certainly fall in love with Anna, too.

Anna Catherine Thomassee

OK, so it took me a day or so, but I am pleased to introduce our daughter, Anna Catherine Thomassee. She was born on Thursday, February 28 at 8:21am. She weighed 9 pounds and 4 ounces and measured 21 1/2 inches long.

Anna has beautiful dark hair and blue eyes (right now, anyway). Willie and I think she is absolutely perfect, not to mention beautiful. We have been truly blessed by this wonderful little girl.

We went to the doctor today. Anna's weight is now 8 pounds 11 ounces. She had gotten down to 8 pounds 5 ounces on Sunday, but has gained very well since then.

Countdown

Well, the time is drawing near. In less than 12 hours, Baby Anna will be making her arrival into the world. I can't believe the time is that close. Willie and I are both very excited to finally meet our daughter. We've seen her four times on ultrasound! I'm sure within minutes of her arrival, we won't know what we ever did without her.

Thanks again for all the prayers, calls, cards and gifts. I'll post a picture as soon I can next week.

Baby Anna's Birthday

Well, we thought Baby Anna was coming by C-section on Monday, but now we are waiting until Thursday. (Scheduling issues with the hospital.) She will still be a c-section, just a few days later than we thought. Her head is measuring small, her belly is measuring big and her femur is measuring average. Her weight is estimated to be around 9lb 6 oz right now. The safest way for both of us is a c-section and I am OK with that.

My last day at work is still tomorrow. I will have a few days of rest before she comes. I know I won't have much time for that in the next couple of years, so I'll take advantage of it while I can.

Willie will be with us for the first week at home and Mimi will be there for several days after that. I am very excited to know when she is finally coming to see us!

Of course, she may try to show up sooner on her own, but Dr. Sullivan doesn't think so. I am still fully thinned, but only 1cm dialated. If she does try this on her own, we'll still do a c-section.
