Anna's First Christmas

We spent Christmas Eve at my grandmother's house with all the Mitchell Family. But first we opened presents at my parents' house. Here are some pictures from last week. As you can see, Anna is not quite sure about all of this ordeal! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Holiday and greetings for a Happy New Year from the Thomassee Family of Three!

Anna is now very proficient at crawling all over the house. She's also very curious about the light sockets (don't worry...they have covers!), the fireplace (don't worry...there's a screen) and anything that she thinks is sturdy enough to pull up on. Willie and I enjoy every day with her more and more. She is so much fun and so happy!

Stand Up!

Anna is now crawling all over the house! She is also pulling up and was actually cruising around the couch last night. Of course, Mommy & Daddy were not far away at all. She's also starting to say DaDa, along with Mama.


She currently has ear infections, but is still relatively the same happy girl. Oh yeah, and she weighs 21 lbs 4 1/2 oz. Actually lost a couple of ounces while she's been sick, but I can't tell where!

Chatterbox

Since my last posting, Anna has started doing the army crawl all over the place! If she can't get there by crawling, she rolls to a place and then crawls! And today, she said her first real word...Mama. It's not just jabbering; she looks at me and says "MAma, MAma". Willie couldn't believe it when he heard her say it this afternoon. Such excitement!

Anna got to play with her cousins Jacob & Samantha last weekend. It's the first time she's been able to sit up and play with the same toys as Sami. As you can see, Jacob loves his cousin Anna almost as much as his baby sister!

Here are a couple of pictures of Anna from the past couple of weeks. Willie and I can't believe how quickly she is changing! We are certainly enjoying our little girl.

Big Girl!

Anna went for her six-month check up last week. Aside from a summer cold, she is doing great! Her weight is now 20lbs 1oz and she's getting tall--27 1/2 in!

In other news, she is sitting up alone now for up to a minute. That means lots more new toys will be needed soon. Everything we have now is for lying on your back/tummy to play with.

Sitting Pretty with Mimi

Mimi is here for a visit with us for a few days. She and Anna are having a big time! After sleeping in this morning, Anna & Mimi were sitting pretty this afternoon.

Thomassee Family Fun

We had a very busy weekend! Eric & May came up from Nashville (they both had a weekend off!) and Mark & Myrna came to visit as well. We toured the AB Brewery in the morning and had dinner at the winery Saturday evening. A nice time was had by all.

Vacation!

As you can see, Anna had a great first vacation! She enjoyed some tummy time at the hotel, hung out with Steve & Mary and Uncle Timmy and Aunt Mere in Cranberry and went to sleep at Primanti's! She also had a great visit with Sami & Bubby.

Rollin'

Oh yeah, Anna has a new trick...She's started rolling over on Saturday! She can go from her back to her belly with ease now. Getting to her back from her belly is still a challenge. Maybe Samantha will teach her how to do it when we visit next week!

And she's also learning to read!
