Birthday Girl!
Anna celebrated her first birthday in Paducah with her grandparents, cousins and great-grandmother! Of course, Willie & I were there, too! She has learned to walk by herself! It's nothing for her to just stand up and take off now. I'm working on some video of her walking to post soon.
The cake was lots of fun, as you can see. Anna also received several nice gifts, including a big pink piggy bank and a "computer". So far her favorite has been the toy phone. Her Daddy gave her a beautiful add-a-pearl necklace. That will be something she can treasure forever.

Walking around the house....with a little help
Anna is cruising and "cabinet walking" all over the house. She's still a chicken and won't let go. However she did walk with me holding her hands today, several steps. Actually about the length of the living room. If you catch her not paying attention, she will stand alone. Still no steps without help yet. She stood by me tonight drinking her bottle and not holding on to anything. Hard to believe she's almost one year old!

Random Things
Anna's first tooth is coming in! I saw it last night when she was eating supper. I knew there was a good reason for all that poop last week! Here are some pictures from this week.

New Year, New Things
Well, 2008 was a landmark year for the Thomassee Family. Willie and I became the Thomassee Three with the addition of Anna Catherine. As you can see, 2009 is going to bring us even more fun. Anna is growing like a weed, a little more "up" than "out" finally. She is cruising all over the house, will pull up on anything she thinks is stable and if you don't tell her, she will stand alone for a few seconds. Her record was about 20 seconds or so on Monday. Willie and I both saw it! How exciting! She is not crazy about walking with you holding her hands, but she does like the push toy. Hope you enjoy these!
